Join us for the luxury all inclusive River Thames
boating holiday of a lifetime

Welcome aboard our Boat

Our boat 'Down the Hatch' is a wide beam river cruiser crewed by ourselves 'Graham and Wendy', both experienced and successful hoteliers.

Launched in 2016, she is the newest of her type on the River Thames, entirely bespoke and built to our own design.

At 72 feet long with a 14 foot beam she feels extremely spacious.

Down the hatch floorplan

Both of our guest rooms [twin bedded & super king] have en-suite power showers, and benefit from, satellite TV, quality bedding, towels, bathrobes, slippers, toiletries.

Cruising

There's no better way to explore the thames valley than by cruising the river from Oxford to London. Meander through ancient market towns and pretty villages, swathed by glorious countryside replete with wildlife.

Our cruises are fully crewed, with only two guests on board and more space per guest than any other hotel boat on the thames, you will enjoy five star hospitality on a 'one to one' basis.

Cruising Itinerary

Welcome aboard, meet the crew then freshen up and chill out, dinner and drinks will be served later.

Wake up to freshly ground coffee or tea of your choice, we have no set routine, each day determined by our chosen route and moorings.

Our moorings are carefully chosen to include places of greatest interest, such as pretty market towns [Wallingford - Henley - Marlow],

quaint villages [Goring - Pangbourne - Molesey] and historical sites [Runnymede - Windsor Castle - Hampton Court Palace].

Breakfast may be served before or during the cruise.

Refreshments are served throughout each day.

After lunch your afternoon is free to explore, or just sit back and relax.

Dinner and drinks each evening may be followed by lively conversation or enjoy our vast DVD library.

Disembarkation after a leisurely breakfast.

  • The boats geographical position in any given week is determined by our 'Cruising Schedule'.
  • The 'Cruising Schedule' is a list of our most popular linear cruises.

  • Our 'Cruising Schedule' can be found in the 'drop down' menu under 'Cruising', in the 'header bar'.

Food and Drink

All food and drinks are included in the tariff, you are most welcome to bring your own alcohol on board.

All our food is freshly prepared using locally sourced and seasonal ingredients.

Please advise us of any special dietary requirements when booking your cruise.

The very nature of cruising tends to favour a fixed menu, if we could have a short-list of preferred dishes prior to cruising, this would give 'Wendy' a fighting chance of delivering the very best cuisine en route.

When we moor up, there is often a riverside pub or eatery within walking distance for those who fancy something more energetic.

The following menu offers guidance only, please feel free to create your own menu.
